Eclipse total de luna el 3 de marzo de 2007

El próximo 3 de marzo tendremos la ocasión de poder observar un eclipse total de luna, el cual será visible desde Europa, África, América y parte de Asia.

Un eclipse es un fenómeno poco frecuente, pero tremendamente interesante. En un eclipse lunar, el Sol, la Tierra y la Luna se alinean durante la fase de luna llena. Al estar alineados, el cono de sombra proyectado por la Tierra incide directamente sobre el disco lunar, oscureciéndolo. En el caso de un eclipse lunar se puede observar un gradual oscurecimiento de la misma a lo largo de un período de varias horas, el cual puede llegar a afectar a una parte del disco lunar (eclipse parcial, L1, o eclipse penumbral, L3), o afectar a la totalidad del disco (eclipse total, L2). El día 3 de marzo el eclipse será total y será visible desde Europa, África, América y parte de Asia (zonas donde se observará el eclipse).

El primer contacto con la zona de penumbra se producirá alrededor de las 21h 16m (horario de la península Ibérica, siendo una hora menos en T.U.), estando la Luna a una altitud de 26º, en la constelación de Leo y la Luna saldrá de la zona penumbral por el lado opuesto alrededor de las 3h 25min ya del día 4 de marzo, brindándonos más de 6 horas de observación en las diferentes fases del eclipse.

Alrededor de las 22h 30m se producirá el contacto del disco lunar con la zona de sombra, 1 hora y 14 minutos después del primer contacto con la zona penumbral.



La fase total del eclipse se produce cuando el disco lunar ingresa en la zona de sombra (L2 en el gráfico superior), el oscurecimiento de la Luna no es completo al no ser totalmente oscuro el cono de sombra, lo que conferirá un tenue tono rojizo a nuestro satélite. Esto sucede así por la luz refractada de la atmósfera terrestre, si nuestra atmósfera no existiese, en un eclipse total de Luna, ésta, desaparecería totalmente. Esta fase se desarrollará de la siguiente manera: inicio de la fase final a las 23h 45min, máximo eclipse a las 00h 20 min ya del día 4 y final de la fase total a las 00h 57min:



El estudio de este tipo de eventos sirve para efectuar mediciones astrómetricas de precisión y la coloración de los conos de sombra, así como su densidad, se ven afectados por la concentración de ozono y la presencia de polvo en suspensión en nuestra atmósfera. Los momentos finales del eclipse se sucederán así: último contacto con la zona de sombra a las 2h 11min y último contacto con la zona de penumbra a las 3h 25min:

Los medios de comunicacion son para lo que se dice no para utilizarlos en palabras corrientes como los que las utilizan.debemos tener respeto al projimo, recuerden que somos seres humanos no animales.pero parece que nuestro comportamiento es del hombre de la caverna pero en fin que le hacemos.
